Gaps is an ear training software tool for guitarists. It uses your guitar microphone as an input for its exercises, so you will learn both to recognize intervals by ear and to find them on the fretboard at the same time.
Choose a set of ascending and descending intervals to practice
Gaps plays an interval for you and shows its root note position on the fretboard
Play that root note on your guitar, once you do, the root indicator will turn blue
Then, play the interval on your guitar, if you do it correctly, the target indicator will turn green and Gaps will advance with a new question
If you get the it wrong, Gaps will show you which interval it heard you play instead and will repeat the question for you
